www.mightybook.com/story_books.html is a great site for beginning readers. Simple stories are told with animation, on screen text where each word is highlighted as it is being read.
http://www.rif.org/readingplanet/content/read_aloud_stories.mspx is sponsored by the Reading is Fundamental organization. You will find read along stories and songs that are well animated and narrated as well as each word being highlighted as it is being read.
http://pbskids.org/lions/stories is another site that children can choose from a variety of stories that are animated and read with great energy.
http://www.crawfordthecat.com/games/wordSearch/ Crawford the Cats "100 WORD SEARCH GAME" is a free, online game that features many of the first 100 sight words young readers are required to master. We hope our version of this popular game is a fun, helpful reinforcement.
