About Us

Since its establishment in 1938, North Glendale Elementary School has maintained a tradition of quality education.  It has always offered a learning environment in which academic development is stressed along with social and emotional growth.  Its caring and nurturing atmosphere is one that fosters a deep sense of community.

North Glendale is a place where children discover themselves as learners in a community where they feel known and valued.  The individual differences that a child brings to our school are respected, valued and welcomed.

Our students are engaged and challenged through academics as well as varied activities of everyday school life.  At North Glendale, learning is active and teachers are guides as well as instructors.  We strive to develop caring and responsible students and never lose sight of why we are here – to guide children to be responsible, compassionate and active citizens for today and tomorrow.

In our 70 plus years of working with and caring for children, it has been our experience that expecting great things of young learners inspires in them a sense of self confidence, eagerness and a love of learning that leads to great personal achievement.

As pages of this website unfold, you will see a glimpse of North Glendale School’s mission, history, classrooms, curriculum, and educational philosophy.
