Where am I?

Health


Health is that quality or state of being which enables an individual to live most and serve best.  Within the context of this definition, health instruction is a vital and integral part of the total school curriculum and is designed to help each child understand him/herself as a physical, mental, and social being.  It provides the opportunity for students to develop attitudes and good health habits.
Each person must make decisions about health every day, decisions affecting self, family, and community.  The concepts, attitudes and knowledge needed for making these decisions intelligently can be acquired best in an educational setting during the impressionable years of youth.  Content that will be covered in the K-5 health curriculum is a s follows:

The K-5 Health Curriculum is aligned to the Missouri Show Me Standards the Missouri Grade Level Expectations and the National Health Education content standards.
