Eligibility
Reach Challenge Class Eligibility
The eligibility for the Reach Challenge Program includes four criteria areas:
achievement, thinking skills (creative or reasoning), performance (Gifted Behavior Checklist), and cognitive skills. These criteria are required by the state of Missouri. To be eligible for the program a student must meet the eligibility requirement in three of the four areas:
• Achievement eligibility requirement-
96th percentile in three academic areas(reading, language arts, math science or social studies)
CTBS Terra Nova Achievement Test or MAP
• Thinking skill eligibility requirement-
93rd percentile in one assessment(Torrance Test of Creative Thinking or Sages 2: Reasoning)
