The North Glendale Clinic is located on the main floor adjacent to the main office and is staffed by a registered nurse from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm each school day. In addition to providing emergency care in case of accidents or illness, the school nurse verifies immunizations, maintains medical records on all students, dispenses medications and conducts or coordinates vision, hearing, height and weight screenings on all students. The school nurse acts as a resource for the classroom, staff and parents and student’s with particular health needs. Daily attendance is monitored by the school nurse in order to oversee the health of the school population and to be aware of patterns of communicable diseases within the school population.
